Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by A2 Junk Removal ("we," "our," "us," or "Company"), including junk removal, window cleaning, and painting services (collectively, the "Services"). By scheduling, booking, or using our Services, you ("Customer" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Services Provided

A2 Junk Removal offers the following property services in Ann Arbor, MI and surrounding areas in Washtenaw County:

  • Junk Removal: Removal and disposal of unwanted items, furniture, appliances, construction debris, and other materials
  • Window Cleaning: Professional cleaning of residential and commercial windows, screens, and frames
  • Pro Ready Painting: Interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, deck staining, and related services

All Services are subject to availability and may vary based on location, project scope, and other factors.

Booking and Scheduling

Quotes and Estimates

We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all Services. Estimates are based on the information you provide and may be subject to change upon on-site inspection. Final pricing will be confirmed before work begins.

Appointment Windows

We typically provide a 2-hour arrival window for scheduled appointments. While we strive to arrive on time, delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or prior job complications. We will notify you as soon as possible if we anticipate a delay.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at any time by contacting us at 734.634.9435 or [email protected]. We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid potential fees. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Payment Terms

Pricing

Pricing for junk removal is typically based on the volume of items removed (measured by truck space). Window cleaning and painting services are priced based on square footage, number of windows, hours of labor, or project scope. All prices are provided upfront and must be approved by the Customer before work begins.

Payment Methods

We accept cash, check, credit cards, and electronic payments. Payment is due upon completion of Services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the service date may be subject to late fees and interest charges. We reserve the right to pursue collection actions for unpaid balances.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure safe and efficient service delivery, the Customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about the scope of work, including the type and quantity of items to be removed or services required
  • Ensure safe and clear access to the work area, including driveways, walkways, and entry points
  • Remove or secure pets during service
  • Identify and disclose any hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals, paint, fuel) that cannot be legally removed
  • Be present or designate an authorized representative to approve work and pricing
  • Notify us of any special conditions, such as narrow staircases, low ceilings, or fragile items nearby

Prohibited Items and Materials

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot remove the following items:

  • Hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, solvents, pesticides, oil, gasoline)
  • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
  • Medical waste or biohazardous materials
  • Explosives, ammunition, or firearms
  • Radioactive materials
  • Any items prohibited by local, state, or federal law

If prohibited items are discovered during service, we reserve the right to refuse removal and may charge a trip fee.

Liability and Insurance

Our Insurance

A2 Junk Removal is fully licensed and insured. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage to protect both our team and our customers.

Limitation of Liability

While we take great care in providing our Services, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to property, walls, floors, or fixtures
  • Damage caused by hidden defects or structural weaknesses
  • Items mistakenly discarded if not clearly identified by the Customer
  • Damage to items the Customer requested to be removed
  • Delays or inability to perform Services due to weather, access issues, or circumstances beyond our control

Our total liability for any claim arising from our Services shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service in question.

Customer Indemnification

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless A2 Junk Removal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Customer's failure to disclose hazardous materials, provide accurate information, or ensure safe access to the work area.

Warranty (Painting Services)

For painting services, we provide a 2-year warranty against defects in workmanship, including peeling, blistering, or chipping that results from improper preparation or application. This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by the Customer or third parties
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from moisture, structural issues, or environmental factors beyond our control
  • Surfaces not properly maintained by the Customer

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period with photographic evidence of the issue.

Disposal and Recycling

We are committed to eco-friendly practices. Whenever possible, we:

  • Donate usable items to local charities and nonprofit organizations
  • Recycle materials such as metal, electronics, cardboard, and wood
  • Dispose of non-recyclable waste at licensed facilities in compliance with local regulations

Once items are removed from your property, ownership transfers to A2 Junk Removal, and we assume responsibility for proper disposal.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of A2 Junk Removal and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or our Services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Washtenaw County, Michigan, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
